Stay Report: Radisson Blu Edwardian, Mercer Street
Radisson Blu Edwardian, Mercer Street is a boutique hotel by the Carlson Rezidor Group, I've used 50,000 hard earned Club Carlson gold points to redeemed for one free award night which could be worth more than 200 pounds, so it's definitely one of the highest value you can get out the Club Carlson program.
The hotel is at the district of the famous Convent Garden, and within walking distance, you can reach Chinatown for amazing asian food or go anywhere in London by catching a subway or bus. The hotel is not easy to reach by public transportation, it's quiet a walk to get to the hotel especially when you are carrying a lot of luggage.

What surprised me at this Radisson Blu property is that they were offering free candy snacks in the lobby, it's not that much but definitely a great bonus to make your guests feel welcome.
The check in was smoothly done and the receptionist is quiet nice, they upgrade me to a higher level suite than the standard deluxe room I've booked. Nice!
The room:
The room is quiet nice and spacious, but it's not necessarily a nice layout, the whole building is filled with zig-zags that is quiet confusing and you have to go up and down a few flight of stairs at the same floor, I suppose there isn't much they can do about it either; other than that, everything looked good.
A huge closet and a corner chair set accompanied by a large square shaped space for the bed. Well designed I would say.
The TV is equipped with Apple TV and a computer desktop within it, although I never figured out how to use it without a mouse and keyboard. The use of smart technology is definitely an advantage.
The room is situated at the second floor and although we had a window, it really wasn't much of a great view when you look at the dark dusty roof and wall outside.
The bed has to be the best thing I liked in the room it's big spacious and the mattress and bed sheet felt amazing to lay on.
Shower & Amenities:
Another highlight in the room is the huge bathtub stayed right outside the toilet which already featured a shower, I didn't really get to use it, but it's defiantly nice to look at, haha.
The hotel featured very nice amenities, all of it it's branded and the offer of bath salt is also a nice touch, although I would never use something on my body that wasn't purchased by myself.
They stored abundant amenities so you would feel like right at home, and you wouldn't feel so stressed about wet the tower or not having enough soap. I would say that's the true definition of luxury, when you don't have to worry about not having access to things that could be helpful to you. In many ways, we could be brainwashed head over toe about blowing away money with gold metal by Hollywood when luxury has never be about that. It's the level of sophistication and elegance and personification of service handling.
Bottom Line:
This property is of central location and you can have great access to what the amazing city of London has to offer, the possibility to take advantage Club Carlson program would make a stay at here even more attractive.
The staff are very friendly and customer-oriented, I have never experienced anything really unpleasant and you could really feel like home here in many ways.
The only stress was to find way to the hotel as it just laid there at the corner without much huge sign on the building especially when there were trees helping the facade to disguise it even more. I guess great things is hard to find and it would like to have the soft product speak for itself.
