Singapore Airlines' SilverKris Lounge at HKG is located near gate area 15, which for most of departures in the main departure hall, it's quiet a walk, the lounge is at a much quieter area of the terminal, and you would be able to check in quickly by giving them your boarding pass.

The lounge has a beautiful entrance and there was quiet a sizeable amount passengers even early in the morning.

After entering the lounge, you will see a long pathway that lead you to the main area, you will also find some seating space right behind the reception desk.

It was all empty during my visit, but I am sure it could be useful during busier times.

When you first enter the main area of the lounge, you will see a bar area with several staff manned at the counter. You can order many alcoholic beverages from tapped beer or liquor drinks.

The breakfast food selection was decent, they kept some pastries heated in there and some sausage buns.

For soda and soft drinks, you can easily grab those from the huge freezer where they are keeping it.

Since it's breakfast hours, they've put out juices and steamed buns for passengers to take.

The salad bar with egges and fresh tomatoes, corns, beans and lettuce.

Other snacks are also available with biscuits and cornflakes.

Something unique in the lounge is that they offer beancurd jelly for breakfast in the morning, I am not sure whether the soy beans were ground with that hand-use grinder they displayed there, but I would definitely recommend you trying out that, it wouldn't be something for everyone, but hey, it's a experience.

Other than normal lounge offerings, this lounge also offer cupped noodles all day long, all you have to do is just to ask one of their staff and they will give one to you.

They have a decent selection of newspaper offerings, first of all, Hong Kong is a multilingual society, so local newspaper many times offer both in English and Cantonese. It's also funny that they even offered a gossip-ish report paper for one of the dramatic kind.

Other seating areas in the lounge, contemporary design which made the space looked bright and peaceful.

Other than the normal sofa sets patterns, you can also find this special booth area, where you can work and find it more private and slightly more quiet.

At the end of the lounge, even more seating space.

There first class lounge is also inside this area, you just have to go left after you've walked into the main lounge area, and then a staff will take you in.

Bottom Line:
SilverKris lounge is one of the many good airline lounges on offer at Hong Kong airport, for Star Alliance alone, there are other lounges like Thai and United and some independent ones like Plaza Premium lounge which is also quiet good. This lounge is definitely worth a visit before your flight.
Stay tuned, until next time.
